After sales service of Eureka forbes is horrendous! DO not buy anything from this brand unless you have decent understanding of how you can repair it yourself.Update1: Aquaguard / Eureka forbes after sales service is a complete sham!Context: My purifier was filtering water at a very slow rate, which meant it would keep uv lamp and the motor stressed as it will run for the extra time consumed for the filteration. I had booked a service through the app but it took them multiple followups and escalations to even assign a technician for it.Eventually the technician came, hammered the filters did reverse flow tests and cleaned it temporarily, filter ran well post this service.Time taken from registering the complaint till resolution: 23 days!Update 2: Had the same issue occur again, this time technician was assigned quickly and visited us promptly. He suggested we get a prefilter and PRV valve to fix the issue, since I was not home my elderly parents went with it.Now, PRV valve is absolutely not needed for an uv/uf filter it is meant to reduce pressure and is only applicable for RO filter as it has a membrane which might tear at high pressures. The Scam: Eureka forbes authorized technician did not provide any bill for the parts and service provided, I kept calling them for the same, have even escalated it but all of it fell on deaf ears! Parts were sold at twice the price to my unsuspecting parents.Worst part there is no way of escalating it to anyone at EurekaForbes, I've tried writing to CEO desk and what not. Absolutely no response! This is going to be a two part review of installation and product care.UV + UF filter does not require water out arrangement, hence the installation is simple and most days Eureka Forbes will send a plumber not a "technician".Below are my notes from installation process skipped by the "Technician"Make sure to test TDS before and after installation, this step must not be skipped as the units equipped with MTDS (taste adjuster) have TDS regulator.Steps to adjust TDS:TDS modulator is located inside the product. As per factory setting, it comes in fully closed mode. TDS level of output water can be increased by slowly loosening the spindle of the TDS modulator (anticlockwise). Normally a slight quarter turn is enough to increase the TDS of the output water. Rotating the spindle in the clockwise direction closes the TDS modulator and reduces the level of TDS blending. Please note that the TDS blending, and its adjustment is dependent upon the level of TDS of input water and on the TDS reduction capacity of the RO membrane. TDS adjustment should be done by the authorized Eureka Forbes technician only.Prepping the filter for first use. Almost all the technicians will skip this step as it takes about 45mins to complete. This is a must do! Do not skip.My Eureka forbes authorised installer did not carry out these steps, he was not even aware of it.1. Drain the tank completely.2. Switch OFF the water purifier from the main power supply.3. Open the top cover, wipe the inside of the tank with a dry, clean soft cloth.4. Keep the top cover in place.5. Switch the power supply ON.6. Let the storage tank gets filled and then drop one Disinfection Tablet (provided in the box) into the tank.Caution: Keep the Disinfection Tablets out of the reach of children. Do not eat/consume the tablet.7. Keep the top cover in place and leave the unit for 30 minutes.8. After 30 minutes, open the tap and discard this and the first filling water completely. Caution: Do not drink this water.9. Now your unit is ready to use. In case you notice any medicinal taste/smell, discard the tank of water fully & let it refill again.NOTE:Please ensure that this disinfection process is carried out during first installation and in every subsequent mandatory servicing of the product.PREFILTER1. If the input water iron content is more than that prescribed in the technical specifications, use of an iron remover** is recommended as a pre- treatment.2. If the input water turbidity is more than that prescribed in the technical specifications or comprises colloidal particles, use of a special filter** is required as a pre-filter.3. If the input water TDS is more than 1,000 ppm (mg/L) or input water hardness is more than 300 ppm (mg/L), use of a Membrane life enhancer** is recommended (applicable only for RO variants).**refer manual for the kind of filter needed.Other than this the product is nice, I like the fact that the storage tank is see through as I can see if the moulds ever develop or if I need to clean it.

Water leakage issue even if it’s powered off
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Aquaguard Aura UV+UF 7L storage water purifier, hoping for an efficient and reliable solution to ensure clean and safe drinking water for my family. While the purifier's overall performance is satisfactory, I encountered an unexpected issue with water leakage from the tank even after it's powered off.First and foremost, let me highlight the positive aspects of the Aquaguard Aura UV+UF water purifier. The unit is compact and aesthetically pleasing, blending well with my kitchen decor. The combination of UV and UF purification technologies is impressive, as it ensures the elimination of bacteria, viruses, and other harmful contaminants from the water. The purification process is reasonably quick, and the water tastes fresh and clean. However, I faced a significant inconvenience with the water leakage problem. Even after powering off the device, water continues to leak from the tank. This is a cause for concern as it not only wastes water but also creates a mess in the area surrounding the purifier. I tried various troubleshooting methods like checking for loose connections, inspecting the tank for cracks, and ensuring proper positioning of the water outlet tap. Unfortunately, none of these efforts resolved the issue.Considering the reputation of Aquaguard as a reliable brand in the water purifier industry, I was disappointed by this flaw in the product. Water leakage, especially when the unit is switched off, undermines the credibility of the purifier and raises questions about its build quality and design.Furthermore, I must highlight the inconvenience of dealing with customer support. When I reached out to Aquaguard's customer service regarding the leakage issue, the response was slow and not as helpful as I had expected. It took multiple attempts to receive proper assistance, which was frustrating considering the urgency of the situation.Given my experience with the water leakage problem and the unsatisfactory customer support, I find it difficult to recommend the Aquaguard Aura UV+UF 7L storage water purifier to others. While it does an adequate job of water purification, the persistent leakage issue undermines its overall functionality and reliability. I would advise potential buyers to consider other options or thoroughly investigate the product's performance regarding water leakage before making a purchase decision.
